I am also amazed at such high prices for everything, especially software. But I use Paint Shop Pro, which I got at eBay for $25. It's an older version, but I don't need the fancy new stuff. At $25, it is still expensive, but it is much better than the $500 for Photoshop! Also, there is something called GIMP that is for free. You have a nice site here, Daelin.
