If your house is damaged…

December 7th, 2008 by Daelin

Usually we take care of our home by buying new furniture, making repairs, cleaning everything. Sometimes even the more careful house owner will end up with a damaged house.

There is an invisible menace hiding in many houses. Mold can ruin your house and your family health. It can even kill someone who is allergic, for instance. I have learned about a family who had to move from her home after they found out that the walls were full of mold.

They tried to use a mold killer service but they had to move and come back when the service was done. They ended up spending a lot of money and now they are more careful about this problem.

I hope they can spend their holidays in a new and clean house.

To buy or not to buy…

You know the dilemma. You want to buy something new but you still have the old thing working very well. Sometimes you wish that your pop up tv just breaks so you can buy a new plasma TV.

I had that problem a few years ago. I have a DVD player that is very old and I wanted to buy a new one. It is still working so I didn´t have a good excuse to buy a new one.

After a while fighting with myself about it, I decided to buy a new DVD player because my old DVD player won´t play some kind of DVDs. See? This is a good excuse!

Anyway I couldn´t get rid of my old DVD player. It is still functioning and it doesn´t seam fair to throw it away. I guess I will keep both players. The old one has some functionalities that the new one doesn´t have. For instance, the old one has space for three DVDs at the same time.

It is a good player and they aren´t take too much space. I will keep the old one for some years and see what happens.

It recalls me the VCR player I still own. It works perfectly well, so I don´t see a reason to get rid of it.

Maybe those things will get rare someday and I will get rich by selling them.

How to make your home more inviting

December 2nd, 2008 by Daelin

When I lived in a house instead of an apartment we used to have a bar. At our house we don´t drink that often but the bar was there when we bought the house, so we kept it.

It was a nice thing, our friends were always fascinated by it and they always said how they would like to have a bar at home. My father searched for some bar stools so the bar was even more inviting.

Too bad we don´t have space for a bar at our apartment.
